ICOMAM is an International Committee of ICOM which specialises in Museums and Collections of Arms and Military History and is dedicated to the study and preservation of arms, armour and militaria.

Its principal aim is to encourage scientific research about arms, armour and militaria in specialised military collections, in general museums and other collections. It actively stimulates professional standards of collection care, management and conservation in line with internationally recognised good practice and ICOM guidelines.
